James H. Lamb Jr. CPA Mr. Lamb received his Bachelor of Science degree in 1980 from San Diego State University. He is a Certified Public Accountant licensed by the State of California. He is an active member of both the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants and California Society of Certified Public Accountants. Mr. Lamb is primarily responsible for the firm administration relating to income tax engagements. His responsibilities include preparation and review of income tax returns, tax planning, research, and representation of clients before the Internal Revenue Service and Franchise Tax Board. Mr. Lamb's tax planning experience includes estate and gift tax planning, executive compensation matters, and mergers and acquisitions of closely held firms. Mr. Lamb also serves a wide variety of small to medium sized companies in matters relating to accounting and auditing issues as well as tax matters. For many years, he has served as Partner-in-Charge of the firm's largest audit clients who include non-profit organizations, a local trade association, and for-profit entities. In that capacity, he is responsible for maintaining a high degree of knowledge in the areas of accounting and auditing matters. His experience also includes due diligence engagements in connection with potential acquisitions. Prior to joining the firm, Mr. Lamb was a partner at Lamb, Medina & Associates and was Tax Manager at the international accounting firm of Ernst & Whinney for seven years until 1987. In addition to being involved in professional organizations, Mr. Lamb is also involved in a wide variety of community and charitable groups.
