Francine N. Meyer, CPA, CIRA Ms. Meyer received her Bachelor of Science degree in 1973. She went back to school in 1979 to study accounting, and has been working in the accounting field since 1979. She is a Certified Public Accountant licensed by the State of California. She is an active member of both the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants and the California Society of Certified Public Accountants. She is also a Certified Insolvency and Restructuring Advisor certified by the Association of Insolvency and Restructuring Advisors (AIRA), a national organization comprised of accountants and other professionals working in the field of insolvency and bankruptcy matters. She successfully passed an exhaustive three part exam given by the AIRA on bankruptcy law and had to meet a very stringent experience requirement of over 4,000 hours of bankruptcy and insolvency service before being so certified. Therefore, she is well versed in bankruptcy matters of all kinds. She is an active member of the San Diego bankruptcy community. She served as a founding board member and officer of the San Diego Bankruptcy Forum for two terms. She often is a guest lecturer on bankruptcy tax matters, speaking to accounting and legal professional organizations. Prior to joining the firm in 1993, she was the Partner-in-Charge of the Insolvency Department at a large local San Diego accounting firm. She developed the department at that firm during her eight-year association with them.
